In the busy medicinal processing workshop of our clients, our technical team is conducting in-depth maintenance and a key specialized test - Gualou seed sorting optimization - around a color sorting machine. Gualou seeds, as a material with both medicinal and edible value, have extremely strict sorting requirements. Maintaining the site, our engineers become the "attending physicians" of the equipment. They systematically cleaned the high-resolution lens and precision light source group to ensure that every grain of sunflower seeds can obtain uniform and shadow free imaging; Subsequently, based on the unique spectral characteristics of Gualou seeds, a specialized "Gualou seed model" parameter library was repeatedly debugged and established. The core is to enhance the recognition dimension from a single color to a comprehensive judgment of color, glossiness, and subtle morphology through algorithm enhancement, so that the system can clearly distinguish the subtle differences between natural grain texture and attached impurities, healthy shell and endogenous mold.


The testing phase validated the effectiveness of the calibration. After the raw materials mixed with crushed seeds, moldy particles, mud lumps, and impurities of different colors are added, the high-speed camera and intelligent recognition system operate synchronously. On the screen, the marks representing defects are accurately and almost real-time annotated. Immediately, the high-frequency solenoid valve responds in milliseconds, only "shooting" out problem particles, with a clean and efficient action, maximizing the protection of intact and plump high-quality sunflower seeds.


The results are satisfactory. After this round of optimization, the selected purity of Gualou seeds has reached over 99.5%, perfectly meeting the standards for medicinal and high-end consumption, while successfully controlling the loss of good seeds at an extremely low level. The customer manager picked up a handful of sorted seeds, which were evenly distributed and had a pure color.
