Technical Principle: Utilizing high-resolution CCD cameras or photoelectric sensors to capture optical feature differences such as color, shape, and surface texture of materials for sorting.
Application Scenarios: Widely used in the food and agricultural product processing industry, such as in the processing of grains like rice and wheat, where it can precisely remove discolored grains, diseased grains, and impurities; in tea processing, it can separate yellowed leaves, tea stems, and discolored leaves; for nuts, it can screen out defective or discolored fruits and foreign objects mixed in; in plastic recycling, it can sort plastic pellets or bottle fragments of different colors, but struggles to identify internal impurities or compositional differences in the materials.
X-ray color sorter
Technical Principle: By penetrating the material with X-rays, it detects internal structures, density, and compositional differences, unaffected by surface color interference.
Application Scenario: Suitable for industrial fields requiring the detection of internal impurities or components in materials. For example, in ore sorting, it can identify metal impurities or different mineral layers within the ore; in plastic recycling, it enables precise separation of plastics containing metal impurities; and it can also be used in the food industry to detect the presence of metal foreign objects in packaged foods, addressing the limitation of optical color sorters in identifying internal material issues.
Near-infrared color sorter
Technical Principle: Utilizing near-infrared spectroscopy to analyze the chemical composition differences of materials, such as spectral variations caused by varying levels of moisture, protein, sugar, caffeine, and other components.
Application Scenario: Primarily used for component sorting of organic materials such as agricultural products and food. For instance, in coffee bean sorting, beans of different qualities can be selected based on variations in caffeine content. In grain processing, grains can be graded according to moisture or protein content.
